Manufacturers must implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect their data and systems. Earlier, the MES used to work on silos or in an isolated network, separated from traditional IT network. With the advent of cutting-edge technologies and genuine need of the organization to analyse the production data in purview of other relevant metrices - require amalgamation of IT and OT network; however, this leads to an increased risk of cyber threats too. The implementation of security solutions like MDR (Managed Detection & Response) or creating a framework like ZTA (Zero Trust Architecture) can put substantial value proposition to the organization and can largely minimize the security threats.
