Adani Green Energy Limited said on Monday that the greenfield addition of 2,418 MW of solar and 430 MW of wind power facilities has expanded its operating capacity by 35% year over year to 10,934 MW. It also stated that this comprises the greenfield addition of 418 MW in Rajasthan and the operationalization of 2,000 MW as part of the continuing development of the 30,000 MW RE project in Khavda, Gujarat.

Adani Green Energy stated in a regulatory filing that strong capacity expansion helped the company's energy sales grow by 47% year over year to 21,806 million units in FY24. It went on to say that the 2.8 GW huge greenfield RE capacity increase showed previously unheard-of execution speed and size.

With a stable high solar portfolio CUF of 24.5 percent and 99.7 percent plant availability, the firm achieved its goals. According to Adani Green Energy, the wind portfolio's CUF was 29.4%, with a YoY increase of 420 basis points and 95.5 percent plant availability. Additionally, the hybrid portfolio's CUF was 40.7 percent, up 520 basis points year over year and supported by 99.5 percent plant availability.

The firm recorded a 6% increase in energy sales for its solar portfolio in FY24, supported by a 2,418MW capacity expansion and strong plant availability. Reduced solar irradiation, a 10 bps increase in plant availability, and a 10 bps improvement in grid availability all contributed to the consistent high CUF. Energy sales increased by 7% in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year.

Adani Green Energy saw a 71% rise in sales for its wind portfolio, supported by a 430 MW capacity expansion in Gujarat and a 420 bps improvement in CUF. Improved wind speed, 720 bps increase in grid availability, and 120 bps increase in plant availability all contributed to better CUF performance. Sales of energy increased by 43% in Q4 of FY24.

Now for the company's hybrid portfolio: during FY24, energy sales increased by 194% year over year due to an increase in effective operating capacity (most of which were operationalized in H2 FY23) and a 520 bps improvement in CUF. Capabilities with a better CUF profile that were operationalized in H2FY23, together with improvements in plant availability of 40 bps and grid availability of 60 bps, were the reasons for the enhanced CUF performance. The sales of energy saw a 32% YoY increase in Q4.
