At the opening of the Adani Group's Ammunition Manufacturing Complex in Kanpur on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh stated that India's defense manufacturing self-sufficiency is a result of the state's defense industrial corridors. Chief Minister Yogi stated, "Today, all six nodes of the state's defense industrial corridors are actively contributing to India's self-reliance in defense manufacturing," as per an official statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO). Speaking about the tremendous changes that have occurred in the state, Chief Minister Yogi said that, before 2017, 'tamanchas' were worn proudly in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister said these things at the opening of Adani Group's ammunition manufacturing complex in Sadh's Defence Corridor.
General Manoj Pandey, the nation's Chief of Army Staff, was present during the inaugural event. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was greeted by Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited. The Ammunition Manufacturing Complex was inspected by the Chief Minister earlier. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his happiness at the occasion, saying, "Prime Minister Modi announced two defense manufacturing corridors in the country when we organized our first Investors Summit in 2018." These corridors were launched in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh with the aim of promoting self-sufficiency in the defense industry.
Chief Minister Adityanath focused on the Prime Minister's announcement of six nodes in Uttar Pradesh: Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi, and Chitrakoot; he also mentioned that Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Limited has started operating at the Kanpur node. The Chief Minister described how different corporations were involved in different nodes, saying In this endeavor, Armoured Vehicle Nigam Limited, Tata Technologies Limited, Global Engineering Limited, and WV Electronics India Limited have commenced operations in Jhansi, while BrahMos Limited has begun work in Lucknow. The Chief Minister went on to say that big companies like Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Limited are actively working in Kanpur, while Ancor Research Lab LLP is contributing in the Aligarh node.
IIT Kanpur and IIT BHU have been named Centers of Excellence for the Defense Manufacturing Corridor in Uttar Pradesh, according to the Chief Minister. The Defense Ministry has also demonstrated cooperation in the development of infrastructure for this." In addition, he emphasized Uttar Pradesh's shift from being seen as an impediment to being a driving force behind national advancement. Currently, Uttar Pradesh is leading the nation's progress rather than being a "breaker." Prior to 2017, Uttar Pradesh was frequently seen as a significant roadblock to the nation's advancement. But in terms of progress, the state is always establishing new standards these days. The Chief Minister said that via GBC 4.0, investments amounting to Rs 10 lakh 24 thousand crore had recently been generated.
He underlined that stable settings for investments support people and money. According to Chief Minister Yogi, the state government plans to build BIDA, a new industrial metropolis in Bundelkhand, 46 years after Noida was founded. This is going to be the nation's best industrial city. As a result, the youngest generation in this area will be the most qualified for employment. The Adani Group's building of the Ammunition Manufacturing Complex in Uttar Pradesh was commended by the Chief Minister.
