Apollo Micro Systems Limited, an Indian defense business specializing in electronic manufacturing, hardware design, weapon integration, and platform integration, has announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art defense equipment production plant in Hyderabad. The company plans to perform the Bhumi Pooja for the plant during the forthcoming Dusshera and hopes to finish the project in nine months with an anticipated total investment of Rs 150 crores.

This new facility will add 3,000,000 square feet to the company's infrastructure, increasing its capacity for defense electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturing, particularly bulk production. A clean room dedicated to the production of Inertial Systems, RF Systems, and Space Applications will be included in the facility. It will also have extensive Environmental Test Facilities, including EMI-EMC facilities accredited by NABL Laboratories. The facility will also have a dedicated Test Facility for testing and calibrating Navigational Systems such as INS, IMU, AHRS, and others.

The company has launched a wholly-owned subsidiary, APOLLO DEFENCE INDUSTRIES PRIVATE LIMITED, to nurture cutting-edge technology and establish a full defense ecosystem. This subsidiary will work with multinational corporations to create alliances and technology partnerships to supply advanced defense solutions.

Apollo Micro Systems has also signed a number of Technology Transfer Agreements (ToT) with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
