AVPL International, a Gurgaon-based drone technology and skill development company, has announced plans to establish a drone manufacturing hub in Bihar. With an estimated investment of ₹15 crore, the facility will span 16,000 square feet and is projected to produce up to 24,000 drones annually.

The hub aims to create significant employment opportunities, including 200 direct in-house jobs and benefits for approximately 10,000 youths through allied activities. The initiative has the support of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), reflecting efforts to bolster local manufacturing and skill development in the state.

The drones manufactured will serve multiple sectors, with a particular focus on agriculture, addressing the rising demand for precision farming tools and technology. Preet Sandhuu, the Founder and Managing Director of AVPL International, described the project as "more than just a manufacturing facility," highlighting its broader goals of community empowerment, capacity building, and fostering drone entrepreneurship.

This initiative aligns with India's increasing emphasis on domestic manufacturing under the Make in India program and its push for technological advancements in key industries, including agriculture and defense.
