Busted: Manufacturing Racket Nabbed For Counterfeit Jeans

The illicit manufacturing and distribution of knockoff jeans and pants with prominent brand names has been revealed by the District Investigation Unit (DIU).

Four individuals were apprehended as a result of the crackdown in a series of carefully orchestrated raids carried out by a squad under the command of DIU ACP Subhash Chand.

The defendants managed a covert operation to produce counterfeit jeans with labels from well-known companies like Levi Strauss and Calvin Klein, all while operating under the pretense of being authorized factories that sew jeans.

The squad found 1,670 fake denim trousers, four sewing machines, and fake labels. Wasim Khan, Mohd Shoib, Taliv, and Tarik have been named as the people that were detained.

They admitted during questioning that they were engaged in the illicit manufacture and distribution of fake jeans and pants throughout Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and the National Capital Region.

The DIU moved quickly to implement the crackdown after receiving a report from the police. Under the Copyright Act, a case has been filed against the accused, and additional inquiries are being conducted in an effort to capture the other participants in the illegal enterprise.
