China's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Chang Hua, expressed Beijing's desire to increase Beijing-Saudi collaboration, especially in the electric vehicle manufacturing and other industries. Hua said the growth of China's economy from $30 billion to $17.8 trillion, which has made it the world's second largest and a leader in trade and industry.
He emphasized that, no matter how things unfold, “China will always stand for justice and remain committed to peace and stability in the Middle East. We are ready to work with all parties to promote peace in the region.” Hua greeted Saudi Arabia on its 94th National Day and stated that a new era of significant development was beginning in the partnership between Saudi Arabia and China.
Chang said that the recent visit to Saudi Arabia by Chinese Premier Li Qiang had improved bilateral ties and reinforced the comprehensive strategic relationship, advancing it toward a more secure and prosperous future. China is Saudi Arabia's biggest commercial partner, according to Hua, with bilateral commerce reaching $100 billion over the previous two years.
He also brought up the two nations' most recent currency exchange arrangement, which has increased investment and trade. Hua also brought attention to the growing number of visits between the nationals of the two nations. Saudi Arabia became an official destination for Chinese tour groups in September 2023 after the two countries signed a memorandum of agreement to promote group tourism.
