enVerid Systems, a global leader in sustainable indoor air quality (IAQ) solutions, today announced an expansion of its partnership with SCG, an ASEAN-based business conglomerate. SCG's sales territory has been expanded to include important new Southeast Asian markets, as well as a technology licencing and manufacturing agreement.

Since 2020, SCG Smart Building Solutions, a system integrator and solution provider of energy-saving technologies that also improve building occupant well-being, has distributed enVerid's award-winning HVAC Load Reduction® (HLR®) air cleaning modules in Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. SCG's territory has been expanded to include the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia under the new agreement. Under an agreement with enVerid, SCG will also manufacture enVerid HLR modules in Thailand.

The core technology in HLR modules and other SVT-enabled HVAC systems, enVerid Sorbent Ventilation Technology® (SVT®), removes gaseous contaminants such as carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from indoor air, allowing indoor air quality targets to be met with less reliance on energy-intensive outside air ventilation. Conditioning large volumes of outside air used to dilute indoor generated contaminants accounts for a significant portion of HVAC energy consumption, particularly in hot and humid ASEAN markets. HVAC energy consumption can be reduced by up to 40% using SVT.
