GenScript, a pioneer in the biotechnology and life sciences worldwide, successfully held an Open Day event at its Singapore site, attracting over fifty delegates from Singapore. This event gave attendees an exclusive peek into GenScript's cutting-edge facilities for producing genes and proteins, with a focus on the company's innovations in AI-driven gene and recombinant protein manufacturing.
During a guided tour of the factory, guests saw firsthand how GenScript uses AI technology to improve production with accuracy and efficiency.
The unveiling of GenScript's most recent artificial intelligence advancements, which are intended to maximize recombinant protein manufacturing and expedite procedures in previously unheard-of ways, was the event's high point.
With more than 50 host organisms covered thus far, GenScript has unveiled GenSmartTM Codon Optimization (Patent Number: WO2020024917A1), a free web application that optimizes gene sequence design for markedly better expression in both prokaryotic and mammalian systems. Using a novel algorithm that combines ideas from population genetics and immunology, this tool is inspired by the Population Immune Algorithm. It looks at more than 200 parameters that affect gene expression, including mRNA destabilizing motifs, codon use, GC content, and RNase splicing sites.
In order to increase the likelihood of creating a functioning, active protein, the tool modifies each gene optimization. GenSmartTM Codon Optimization is more approachable and user-friendly than comparable products on the market, and it can produce protein with up to a tenfold better yield than other similar instruments.
