The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre IN-SPACe — an autonomous entity under the Department of Space, Government of India — and the Government of Gujarat signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of a space manufacturing cluster in the city near Ahmedabad. According to the agreement signed on Oct 18, IN-SPACe will establish its headquarters in Sanand to spearhead the development of a Space Manufacturing Cluster, according to an official statement.
Diverse manufacturing enterprises linked to space technology will begin operations within this cluster, with In-Space providing support and technical guidance. IN-SPACe will also manage a Technical Support and Incubation Centre at its headquarters in Bhopal to help with this endeavour. According to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government will provide full support for infrastructure development for industries in both the land and space sectors.
