
Founder Group Limited is one of the main EPCC (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning) suppliers in Malaysia for solar photovoltaic systems.A Letter of Award was given for this project for an amount of up to RM20 million, equivalent to about 4.5 million US dollars for establishment of the floating solar farm in Kuala Langat, Selangor, Malaysia.
The construction spans an area of 24 acres and shall include the generation of 9.99 MWac/15.03 MWp of solar energy using floating photovoltaic (FPV) technology. FPV technology refers basically to the solar panels installed on floating platters placed in water bodies, hence conserving land. It also fits very well into the Company's other drives towards ensuring they operate in a carbon-neutral manner.
Founder Group will offer general conditions, preliminaries, and consulting services as a subcontractor by providing manpower, tools, materials, machinery, and equipment. The floating solar farm is set for completion by June 30, 2025.
