The auto components giant, Motherson, recently signed a joint venture agreement with Sanko, a leading player in the material handling sector based out of Japan, to offer sustainable packaging solutions in India and Europe.
This partnership with Sanko is a strategic, synergistic diversification for the group, Motherson Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal said.
The company in the statement released by Motherson today stated that such a tie-up would facilitate handling material and the overall cost of logistics. Motherson, the result of Sanko's decades-long legacy of engineering excellence and innovation combined with reach across India and Europe, would now be offering high-tech, eco-friendly solutions to the automotive as well as the non-automotive sector.
More importantly, Sehgal said, "We see this collaboration as another way to support our customers in achieving their sustainability goals."
Sanko President Toshihiko Go said, "We believe we can contribute more to Motherson's and our valuable customers by combining Motherson's strong global presence and our long experience and rich expertise in the sustainable packaging solution business."
Sanko was established in 1951 as the leading manufacturer of plastic material handling products in Japan and also as a leader in the field of sustainable packaging that catered to a wide range of industries worldwide.
