Royal Enfield Launches in Bangladesh with New Manufacturing Unit

Eicher Motors' Royal Enfield, a prominent player in the automotive industry, has started its operations in Bangladesh by opening a main showroom in Dhaka and setting up a manufacturing facility. They have introduced a lineup of 350cc motorcycles in response to a growing demand in the country.

The entry into Bangladesh is a collaboration with IFAD Motors, and reservations for the motorcycles will commence on October 21.

"Our vision is to expand the middleweight motorcycle segment globally, and our entry into Bangladesh marks another important milestone in this journey," Royal Enfield's Chief Commercial Officer, Yadvinder Singh Guleria said. Royal Enfield has expanded into the Americas, Europe and the Asia Pacific regions, and had started a CKD operation in Nepal last year.

COO Yadvinder Singh Guleria expressed certainty about Bangladesh's growth potential in the leisure motorcycling sector. Our goal is to enhance the customer experience, increase accessibility, and promote the motorcycling culture within the riding community in Bangladesh through production and assembly done locally.

IFAD Motors' local partners announced plans to increase the dealer network in Bangladesh in the upcoming years in order to appeal to a broader range of customers.

Royal Enfield, based in Chennai, is a multinational company that manufactures motorcycles in India. The Royal Enfield brand, with its original English roots, holds the title of being the longest-running global motorcycle brand in production. The manufacturing plants in Chennai, India are operated by the company.
