CoAsia, Samsung Electronics' semiconductor foundry business unit and design solution partner, has signed a contract with Inova Semiconductors, a German IC design house, for the joint development and manufacturing of ISELED driver chips.

The ISELED technology integrates RGB LEDs and control electronics into a single package, resulting in improved colour control and a simpler control interface. The collaboration between Samsung, CoAsia, and Inova Semiconductors aims to leverage their respective expertise in order to develop high-quality ISELED driver chips in order to meet the growing demand for intelligent lighting solutions in the automotive industry.

Samsung's advanced semiconductor manufacturing capabilities will be combined with CoAsia's design solutions and Inova Semiconductor's IC design expertise in this collaboration.
