As per Samsung's global head of mobile business, the company will invest in smart manufacturing capabilities at its mobile phone plant in Noida to increase production competitiveness. In 1996, the company established a manufacturing and R&D center in India, where it now employs nearly 70,000 people.
In India, Samsung now has the world's second largest manufacturing facility in Noida, as well as the world's largest research and development centre in Bengaluru. This year, Samsung began manufacturing its premium Galaxy S23 series in India. "Samsung India has prioritised manufacturing in India and manufacturing for India."
