Karnataka Industries Minister M.B. Patil, as part of the global roadshow for Invest Karnataka 2025, engaged with Schneider Electric in France, where the company announced plans to add 5,000 jobs in Karnataka by establishing a new Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) manufacturing facility.

Leading a high-level delegation to France, the Minister aimed to strengthen economic partnerships, showcase Karnataka’s investment potential, and invite global stakeholders to the state’s flagship investor summit. During a meeting held at the Indian Embassy in Paris, Bruno Turchet, Vice President - Global Supply Chain Strategy Deployment at Schneider Electric, discussed the company’s investment plans and its commitment to Karnataka.

Schneider Electric highlighted the strategic importance of Bengaluru, where it already employs 11,000 people. The discussions focused on enhancing electromechanical engineers' availability and increasing supply chain localization. Minister Patil reaffirmed the Karnataka government’s support for Schneider Electric’s expansion plans and extended an invitation to the company’s global leadership team to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Meet.

The delegation also held discussions with Forvia, a global automotive supplier. Senior executives, including Schmitt Jean-Pierre, Maryse Penny, and Mary Jay East, discussed Forvia’s global operations and its significant presence in Karnataka. These interactions underline Karnataka’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and attracting investments to bolster its economic growth.
