Sistema.bio, a global social enterprise specialising in innovative biogas technology, celebrated World Environment Day by launching the world's largest manufacturing facility for biogas plants in Chakan, Pune. This cutting-edge facility, which spans 130,000 square feet, has an impressive annual production capacity of 100,000 prefabricated biogas plants. The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which cost 150 million INR (USD 1.8 million), is strategically located to meet the growing demands of Asia Pacific and Africa.
Alexander Eaton, Co-founder and CEO of Sistema.bio, expressed his pride and appreciation for the facility during the grand opening ceremony, saying, "This facility serves as a testament to the world of innovative technology and efficient business operations, creating a global impact." Each smart biogas unit manufactured here improves the lives of farmers, improves human health, and contributes to a healthier climate. I am extremely proud of the team that designed and launched this facility, as well as the dedicated individuals who contribute to its success on a daily basis!"
Sistema.bio's ground-breaking biogas technology, which includes biogas reactors and membrane templates, has been granted an Indian patent. The Government of India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) officially recognised and approved Sistema.bio's modern and innovative biogas technology in December 2022. The facility, which is outfitted with cutting-edge machinery, efficiently manufactures modern biogas plants, biogas booster pumps, H2S scrubbers, and assembles a full range of biogas plants, including biodigesters and cookstoves.
