In November of this year, Vietnam's industrial production index (IIP) increased by 2.3 percent compared to the previous month and by 8.9 percent compared to the same month last year (YoY), according to official statistics.
In the first eleven months of 2024, the IIP for chemicals and chemical products increased by 13.4 percent compared to the previous year, whereas the IIP for textiles saw a year-over-year increase of 12.1 percent.
During the initial eleven months of this year, an 8.4 percent increase in the industrial production index is anticipated compared to the previous year. The index for the manufacturing and processing sector rose by 9.7 percent in comparison to the previous year during this time.
According to an official announcement, the IIP increased year-on-year in 60 regions of the country over the first eleven months of this year, while it dropped in three.
The IIP for the processing and manufacturing industry from January to November this year increased by 42.1 percent YoY in Phu Tho, 39.9 percent YoY in Lai Chau, 28.3 percent YoY in Bac Giang, 20.7 percent YoY in Quang Nam, and 19.3 percent YoY in Thanh Hoa.
