According to a top company executive, VOX India, a joint venture between the former promoters of Ashirvad Pipes and VOX Poland, is establishing its first factory in Jigani Industrial Area, Bengaluru, with an initial investment of 100 crore.
Based on sources, Varun Poddar, the company's CEO, stated that the 50-50 joint venture was established in 2018, with Poddar serving as the operational partner, overseeing sales, distribution network, and manufacturing, and VOX Poland providing technology and marketing support. VOX is a European company that has been in business since 1992.
For the past four years, the company has imported products from Europe to learn what works and what doesn't in India. "Because we now have a good understanding of what sells in India, we will begin production at our manufacturing plant in October, and we expect to begin commercial production in November," he said.
The facility, which spans three acres of land, will receive an initial investment of Rs. 100 crore, allowing for capacity generation in both the current and future years.
"We expect to add additional production lines within the same facility following this." So, over the next three years, we plan to invest a total of 200-250 crore, giving us capacity until 2027-28," Poddar added.
