VVDN Technologies, an engineering, manufacturing, and digital services provider, will manufacture 4G and 5G connectivity modules as well as data cards for Italian intelligent edge solutions company Telit Cinterion, for whom it has set up a surface mount technology line at its Manesar manufacturing facility. This is the first time that such modules will be produced in India.

Puneet Agarwal, the CEO and co-founder of the Gurgaon-based company, said in a statement released Oct 10 that the facility will produce millions of 4G and 5G modules. The modules, data cards, and custom products will be available for both domestic and international use. The collaboration with Telit is part of VVDN's larger strategy to broaden and deepen the local manufacturing ecosystem.

"Along with the final products, VVDN will be mass manufacturing modules and data cards which finds its application in the products that goes into multifold industries such as smart energy, EV charging, smart buildings, telematics, retail, etc," Agarwal said in a statement.

As an electronics manufacturing services provider, VVDN performs printed circuit board assembly, or PCBA, mechanical, tooling and moulding, die-casting, pre-compliance certification, and advanced cybersecure software and firmware flashing, as well as mass manufacturing the latest and world-class electronic products.
