Sintex, a subsidiary of the Welspun Group, plans to invest Rs 350 crore in a manufacturing facility in Telangana, creating 1,000 jobs.
On September 28, Telangana Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao and Welspun Group Chairman B.K. Goenka will lay the groundwork for the proposed plant at Chandanvelly in Rangareddy district. According to a press release, the unit will produce tanks, pipes, auto components, and ancillaries.
Rama Rao stated that the State Government's 'progressive' policies and 'world-class' infrastructure enticed the company to locate its operations in the state. He added that the State Government will provide full support to existing companies looking to expand their operations in the state.
