Xiaomi, the Chinese tech giant, has revealed the SU7, its first electric car (EV), and stated lofty intentions to become one of the world's top five automakers. The sedan, which stands for Speed Ultra, will be available in a few months. According to the company's statistics, the new electric car might compete with Teslas when it is released. The Xiaomi SU7 is available in two models: SU7 and SU7 Max. The SU7 has rear-wheel drive, whereas the SU7 Max is all-wheel drive.

The following are the standard SU7 specifications:

1. Acceleration: 5.28 seconds from 0 to 100 mph

2. Range: 668 km Top Speed: 210 kmph Power: 299 PS

3. 400 Newton-meter torque

4. Specifications for the Xiaomi SU7 Max:

5. Acceleration: 2.78 seconds from 0 to 100 mph

6. The claimed range is 800 Kilometers.

7. Power: 673 PS Top Speed: 265 kmph

8. 838 Newton-meter torque

Despite declining demand and a supply glut in China's vehicle market, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun remains upbeat. He said at the launch, "By working hard over the next 15 to 20 years, we will become one of the world's top 5 automakers, striving to lift China's overall automobile industry."

Customers are expected to be drawn to the SU7 because it uses the same operating system is Xiaomi's popular phones and other electronic products. This connection gives drivers access to the company's existing array of mobile apps.

According to Reuters, the company's stock dropped 0.3% after the announcement. Xiaomi, China's fifth-largest smartphone manufacturer, has been attempting to diversify beyond its main industry into EVs in the face of stagnant smartphone demand. Xiaomi has vowed to invest $10 billion in automobiles over the next decade and is one of the few new participants in China's EV sector to receive government license.

Xiaomi SU7 and SU7 Max Highlights:

The SU7 is said to have "super electric motor" technology that can accelerate quicker than Tesla automobiles and Porsche EVs. The vehicle will be available in two versions: one with a driving range of up to 668 km (415 miles) on a single charge and another with a range of up to 800 km. In comparison, the Model S has a range of up to 650 km.

The SU7 boasts fast charging capabilities in low temperatures and is outfitted with innovative technology that allows it to recognise barriers in difficult settings such as falling snow. Xiaomi's autonomous driving skills would be at the forefront of the industry. The vehicles will be manufactured in a Beijing factory with an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles by a unit of the state-owned carmaker BAIC Group.
